Holiday Travel

The holidays season is time when friends and family gather together, and this means more travelers on the road and heavier traffic. Remember these tips for safe travel this holiday season.

–          Fasten your seatbelt. It isn’t a secret that seatbelts save lives. Make sure everyone travelling with you is buckled up and all children are in age appropriate safety seats.

  • According to The National Safety Council all children under the age of 8 or under 4’9’’ for height should be in a safety seat. Children under the age of 12 should ride in the back seat.

–          Do not become distracted by mobile devices. Avoid texting and using a cell phone while driving. It is dangerous and in many places, illegal.

–          Allow plenty of time for travel to avoid speeding and road rage.

–          Drive cautiously, but defensively, especially in inclement weather.

–         Do NOT drink and drive.
