Mike has been with The Seltzer Group since 1997 as a commercial account producer and certified workers’ comp advisor for municipal, industrial, mining and transportation exposures. Prior to joining The Seltzer Group, he spent 20 years in the underground coal mining business as a mining engineer for the Republic Steel Corporation, an underground mine foreman for Standard Oil of Ohio and owner/operator of an anthracite coal mining and trucking company. Mike’s experience in the coal mining industry gives him a unique perspective helping to provide products that are in the best interest of his clients. Mike earned a B.S. Degree in Mining Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh and attained the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Professional Engineer Designation. He has a CWCA designation.
